Camping de l’Etang du Goulot at Lormes
Welcome to the site of the Camping de l'Etang du Goulot in Lormes, in the Morvan, the heart of Burgundy.
The campsite is located in Lormes (1,500 inhabitants), in the Nièvre, in the Morvan Regional Natural Park, on the banks of l'Etang du Goulot (10 hectares).
In the region are the large reservoirs Le Crescent, Chaumecon, Panneciere and Les Settons and authentic places such as Vézelay, Avallon, Chateau-Chinon, Clamecy, Auxerre, Nevers and Autun.
The town of Lormes is located on the western edge of the Morvan; the perched church can be seen from miles around.
The cosy, family campsite de l'Etang du Goulot is located on a lovely swimming and fishing lake with a sandy beach and playground.
The campsite is located on an area of approximately 2.5 hectares with 70 spacious, marked camping pitches.
These are pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes and also pitches with 7 accommodations, which are offered for rent.
The campsite is located on a former site of an old train station on the Corbigny - Saulieu “le Tacot” line.
Campsite Facilities
The campsite is equipped with two toilet blocks, a washing machine, go-karts, book lending, games, tourist information, bread service (during high season).
One of the toilet blocks is suitable for wheelchair users, people with crutches or walkers (PMR = personnes mobilités réduites).
There is also a table tennis table, mini-golf course and simple playground (on the beach). During high season, a cosy (musical) evening is regularly organised with a food truck at the campsite.
WIFI is only available at the reception and not on all pitches.
The area lends itself perfectly to short or long walking or cycling trips, right from the campsite. Maps can be borrowed at reception. Within a radius of 10 kilometres, you can go rafting, canoeing, horse riding, quad riding and rent mountain bikes. There are also several castles to visit.
At 500 metres you will find the village centre of Lormes, with supermarket and other shops such as bakery, newsagent, pharmacy, butcher, café, ATM and petrol pump.
There are also several cafés and restaurants in the village, as well as several art galleries and bric-a-brac shops Next to the campsite is the lovely swimming, canoeing and fishing lake.
Opening dates
The campsite is open from 28 March to 30 October 2024... (this could possibly be earlier or later, depending on weather conditions)
and is managed by Dutch couple Maurice and Claudine.
